LEARNING TOGETHER FROM HOME

Zoom Brings Autism (ASD) Training Right To Your Living Room

Zoom is MUCH BETTER than Face-To-Face (For Autism)

This is amazing and surprising! Now that we have been running sessions on Zoom, we will never go back face-to-face in old-style rooms. That's because Zoom is so much better for children on the spectrum. When children were face-to-face, they used to find themselves in an unknown place, surrounded by unfamiliar noises, under unfamiliar lighting, and they were emotionally heightened before they even start their learning.

However, when children are learning from home on Zoom, they feel safe, relaxed, familiar with their environment. They enjoy their learning so much more! Kids love using the tech of Zoom and they can focus easily on a screen - much more easily than if they were in an unfamiliar place.

Zoom for Social Skills Training Sessions (Tiny Groups of 3-4 Students)

All of our courses for children can be done from Zoom at home.  Lockdowns can't stop your child learning. Living in a rural area can't prevent your child from growing their confidence.  Many children and families prefer to learn by Zoom because it is so convenient and because it works!

Zoom for Child & Parent Sessions (For Students Living All Around Australia)

We run our courses in tiny groups of 3-4 children. What makes things work well on Zoom is being able to watch skills demonstrated and then actually getting the opportunity to put those skills into practice.  Zoom sessions are also great because it means your child’s learning can proceed despite Covid shut-downs because your child can learn from anywhere. Our backup for when we can’t do in-person meet-ups is to use Zoom.

Zoom for Parent Support

We love to use Zoom for most parent meetings, and we are open to using Zoom for many of our students. There are some students who need face-to-face interactions in a real-life room setting, but most skills and most components of our courses can be delivered very effectively in the virtual ‘Zoom-room’ setting.
